I grew up here on my dad's farm that we turned into the Sainte Genevieve Winery over 20 years ago. I'm the educated enologist and he's the experienced farmer/business man. We try to treat the land and the wine with kindness, like a member of our family(sometimes we treat them nicer than family ;)) This is our little place on earth, and I thought you might enjoy seeing it from my perspective.
We have two hornet's nests on the property and we haven't quite figured out how to get rid of them yet. They need to find a new home soon, preferrably before harvest because all those sweet grapes attract so many bees. Any suggestions?
Spray wasp/hornet killer into the bottom opening at night - saturate it as much as possible. You should be able to remove the nest the next night. Do the work at night after dark because they are less active. Still wear long sleeves and jeans just in case...

Thanks for the advice. Dad just did just that Sunday night, and now they are all gone. Brilliant.
