I grew up here on my dad's farm that we turned into the Sainte Genevieve Winery over 20 years ago. I'm the educated enologist and he's the experienced farmer/business man. We try to treat the land and the wine with kindness, like a member of our family(sometimes we treat them nicer than family ;)) This is our little place on earth, and I thought you might enjoy seeing it from my perspective.
Here's a link to a nice article printed over the weekend in the St. Louis Post Dispatch. Come to Ste. Genevieve this fall, you won't be disappointed.

So I stumbled across the article from the PD while waiting for my computer at work, and was soooo glad to find your winery is part of the tour. I think my hubby and I will have to look into that if we ever get time alone again. The article linked me to your blog, and all I have to say is wow! It's been a long time. You knew me as Sarah Bahr, but the last name is Small now, and I too have 2 daughters. They are 1 and 4 now. I'm in STL (near the airport)and I will be looking you up on Facebook when I get home (my work blocks that one)! Great to see how well you are doing, and I will personally never forget the work we put in when we were younger!
It's great to hear from you. I can't seem to find you on facebook, but hopefully you can find me.
I can't really remember us working when we were young, but it doesn't surprise me, there's always work to do on a farm and family business, even if you are 11. ;)
