This is called bloom. The grapes don't really bloom like a flower, but they get extra little white parts surrounding the tiny grapes. This is fruit set. Posted by Picasa

We were part of a wine tasting this past weekend called the Washington Wine and Art Fair. Washington is a small town that overlooks the Missouri River. We poured wine Friday night, Saturday and Sunday, and we also got to browse the wonderful local art. The wine tasting is under a tent, and this is a picture of our booth. Posted by Picasa

Our tasting room in downtown Ste. Genevieve is a house that was built in 1909. There are lots of original details around the house that make it so unique. This is the fireplace in one of the rooms. The picture was taken at an angle that it makes me a little dizzy looking at it, but I thought it was a good representaion of the house and era. Posted by Picasa

We had a Progressive Dinner this past weekend with the four other wineries on the Route du Vin here in Ste. Genevieve. We had the first course. I served Tomato Basil Bruschetta and Duck Liver and Truffle Pate on Sliced Baguette. Shown here is the Bruschetta. Posted by Picasa
